From one of the few remaining Trappist breweries remaining in the world, WLP500 Monestary Ale produces the distinctive fruitiness and plum characteristics. Excellent yeast for high gravity beers, Belgian ales, dubbels and trippels.
This yeast used to be called Trappist Ale.
Flocculation: Medium to Low
Optimum Ferment Temp: 65-72°F Lower temperatures (under 65°F) will result in less fruity and more earthy beers.
Alcohol Tolerance: High
Note: We send out our yeast on Mondays and in warm weather we include a cold pack for protection.
Note: This is a special order item, please allow for an extra week for delivery. We can order any White Labs yeast you are looking for. We usually place our orders by Monday, receive the yeast around Thursday, and then ship it out the following Monday.
