Sodium Metabisulfite 8 oz


You can use sodium metabisulfite to kill wild yeast and bacteria in fruit 24-36 hours before adding your yeast. Also you can use it every other racking to act as an anti-bacterial agent and help prevent oxidation. When using it as an antioxidant and bactericide - use 1/4 teaspoon to 6 gallons.

To use as a sanitizer for equipment, use 2 oz. per 1 gallon of water. 

Pretty much the same as campden tablets.

Dissolve sulphite in warm water before adding.
