Groundskeeper Billie Scotch Ale - All Grain Kit

Groundskeeper Billie is a wee heavy scotch ale with the addition of both peat malt and rauch malt for a complex smoky taste. The extremely high gravity and resulting alcohol should ensure bravery and lack of judgment. Drink fairly responsibly.

This kit comes with yeast, use the pick list to select which you'd like. Due to the high starting gravity of this beer, we recommend getting a second yeasts pack or making a starter. Our favorite yeast for this beer is the Wyeast 1728 Scottish Ale yeast. The dry yeast (S-04) will be more resilient through the shipping process, although we do include cold packs during warm months with our liquid yeast to help ensure freshness.
