Japones Chiles, Dried, 2 oz (Brewer's Best)

The japones chile is a small, pointed chile that grows to be about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Bright red in color, dried japones chiles are medium hot.
WARNING: Be sure to keep hands away from eyes and other sensitive areas after coming in contact with the chiles. After handling the chiles, wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water.
Recommended usage:
- For faster results, slice each chili in half and add 1 oz (for less heat) or 2 oz (for more heat) to secondary fermentor for 5 gallons. Or,
- Add 1 oz (for less heat) or 2 oz (for more heat) to secondary fermentor for 5 gallons. Or,
- Add 1 oz (for less heat) or 2 oz (for more heat) to a glass, then completely submerge in an alcohol. If you don't want flavor impact from alcohol, use vodka. Depending on the beer (or mead!), we think tequila or rum would be nice. Soak for 1-3 days. Add mixture to secondary fermentor for 5 gallons. Or,
- Add one chile per bottle during bottling stage. The longer the chile is in the bottle the more spice it will impart. Higher ABV beers will absorb the spice quicker.
