Steamfitter Imperial Stout Partial Mash Kit

$47.99

This beer should finish big in malt flavor from the 2-Row and Munich malt, big in mouth-feel from the Caramel malt, and have a balanced, chocolate and coffee roasted character from the roasted malts. If you want a treat, soak an ounce of oak chips or staves in about a pint of bourbon during primary fermentation, add all of it to the beer after about a week, and age it for a month before bottling or kegging. The bourbon and vanilla flavors really round this beer out perfectly.

This all grain imperial stout kit comes with yeast, select which you'd like to use above. And because this is such a high gravity beer, we recommend either purchasing a second yeast pack or making a yeast starter. We also like either of the liquid yeast strains (WLP004 or Wyeast 1084) to ferment this beer. The dry yeast (S-04) will be more resilient through the shipping process, although we do include cold packs during warm months with our liquid yeast to help ensure freshness.
