This plastic quick disconnect has an 1/2" barb on one side on which you can attach 1/2" ID tubing. The other side is the male quick disconnect and snaps into the matching female disconnect. 

These disconnects are great for an all-grain brewing system in which you need to change where something is flowing. Especially useful in systems with a pump.
