Another unique kveik originating from the farmhouses of Norway. We preserved the original blend of strains to bring the best possible complexity. Hornindal produces an intense tropical flavor and aroma with notes of fresh pineapple, mango, and tangerine. Compliments fruit-forward hops as well as adding another dimension to beer made with traditional "C" hops. Warmer fermentation temperatures will increase the aromatic profile and fermentation speed. Non-phenolic. [Previous description: This Norwegian kveik has tropical fruit for days. In fact, if Citra or Galaxy were reincarnated as a yeast, it would be Hornindal: it's a yeast with the soul of a new world hop varietal. Consequently, it's possible to brew with Hornindal using, say, Chinook, and get a spendy tasting beer. Strain is so new, we don't have exact stats for it yet, but like Hothead and Voss Kveik, it ferments well without off flavors at 90+ degrees F.]
