Organic dry malt extract (DME), is a great base for any type of beer or yeast starters. 

• If you make 1 gallon batches, use 1 lb of this dme to achieve a starting gravity of 1.042
• If you make 2.5 gallon batches, use 3 lb to achieve a SG of 1.050
• If you make 5 gallon batches, use 6 lb to achieve a SG of 1.050
• If making a starter, use just under 4 oz per 1000ml for a gravity of 1.040
