The Son of Krakatoa Belgian Blonde Ale is a volcanic blonde ale brewed with an estery yeast, paradise seeds, Saaz, and Sorachi Ace hops. This delicious brew will help you escape the summer doldrums or melt the thick ice of winter.

Son of Krakatoa is a spiced blonde ale intended to be yeast forward yet still moderately bitter. The Belgian pale ale malt, 1/2 lb. 10L crystal malt and 1/2 lb. of Victory malt make for a smooth malt bill, then the 1 oz. Saaz hops and 1 oz. Lemondrop hops erupt in floral and lemon notes. The special ingredient is paradise seed, which should complement the Wyeast 3711 or Safale T-58 dry yeast.

This all-grain Belgian Blonde kit comes with yeast, select which you'd like using the pick list above. We recommend using Wyeast 3711. The dry yeast (T-58) will be more resilient through the shipping process, although we do include cold packs during warm months with our liquid yeast to help ensure freshness.
